Game House Criteria started from a simple frustration: most casino comparison pages read like they were written by the casinos themselves. We wanted the opposite — a page that tells you where a site is genuinely good, where it's average, and who it's actually for, written by someone who has spent real time playing on these apps rather than skim-reading a press release.
What we are
We're an independent review and comparison site covering licensed UK casino operators. That word "independent" does a lot of work here, so let's be precise about it. We are not a casino. We don't run any games, we never hold your money, and we take no part in gameplay of any kind. We are not the UK Gambling Commission or any other regulator, and we're not owned by any of the brands we list. All we do is look at operators and compare them.
How we pay the bills
The site is affiliate-funded. When you follow one of our links to an operator and sign up, we may receive a commission. That's the deal behind almost every comparison site you'll come across, and hiding it would be daft. What matters is that the commission doesn't buy a better grade. An operator we earn from can still land a C if that's what the experience deserves, and you'll find plenty of honest criticism dotted through the write-ups.
Our angle
We lean hard on the mobile and app experience because that's how most people play these days. A site can have a beautiful desktop lobby and still be a chore to use on a train, and we think that matters more than a marketing team's screenshots suggest. You can read the full method on our homepage grading section.
Everything on the site is kept evergreen and factual. We don't invent statistics, we don't run a fake "latest news" feed, and if we're not sure about a detail, we leave it out rather than guess. The comparison was last given a proper review on 1 July 2026.
